Truck parts online store in Greece — built end to end

A complete Shopify store for truck parts and accessories on the Greek market: a custom theme to the client's brief, browsing by truck and brand, product specifications, a cart with complementary products, a blog and full Greek SEO for the whole catalogue.

The challenge

A store for truck parts and accessories on the Greek market, with a large catalogue. People buying such parts search by truck, by brand and by specification, while a standard store just shows a list of products.

Products had no Greek descriptions or only short translations, collections were empty pages, and search engines could not tell what the store was about. All of this had to be fixed without stopping the store.

What we built

We built the store end to end. The design was made to the client's brief, page by page: home, collection, product, cart, blog, contact. We wrote the theme ourselves, with no paid theme. The home page leads to categories by truck type and to the brands, with a video at the top and trust badges.

Collections have subcollections, a filter and sort bar, a banner and SEO copy. The product page shows the technical specifications in a table, related products and an “Add to cart” button that stays visible on mobile while scrolling. The cart opens as a side drawer and suggests complementary products. Search shows results while you type.

Then we went through the whole catalogue in Greek: descriptions, meta titles and meta descriptions, image alt texts, collection copy and structured data for products, collections and the store. The work ran in batches overnight, and we kept a copy of the old content before every batch.

  • A Shopify store we built end to end, with a custom theme to the client's brief and no paid themes
  • Categories by truck type and a brands page
  • Collections with subcollections, filters, a banner and SEO copy
  • A product page with technical specifications, related products and a sticky add-to-cart button
  • A side cart drawer with complementary products
  • Search with results while you type
  • A blog with a reading progress bar and related articles, FAQ, contact, newsletter
  • Greek descriptions, meta data and alt texts for the whole catalogue
  • Structured data for products, collections and the store

What changed

Buyers find the part for their truck and brand, see its specifications and order from the phone without extra steps.

The catalogue is in Greek, and search engines see what the store sells and which trucks each part is for. All the work was done without stopping the store.

Custom theme sections

The header, brand and collection pages and sections recreated from an existing site are written straight into the Shopify theme. Before publishing, each change is compared visually with the original. The theme stays in Shopify and the store keeps working with it as before.

Extra products in the cart

The side cart and the cart page offer products from a chosen collection, a list or the store's recommendations, with an add button. Products already in the cart are not offered. Next to them a bar shows how much is left to free shipping, calculated from a single threshold.

Product specifications

The product page shows a table of specifications, compatibility and box contents, filled from the product's data. The section appears only when there is at least one row, so there are no empty tables. A sticky add-to-cart bar stays visible as the visitor scrolls down the page.

Collection SEO

Each collection gets an intro above the products, a longer text below them and an FAQ that is published as FAQPage markup. The copy is written from the products actually in the collection, and brand names are never translated. The SEO title and meta description in Shopify are filled in too.

Product structured data

Every product carries its own data for Google (product, offer and breadcrumb), and the site carries data for the organisation and its search box. A barcode goes in as a GTIN only if it is a real code with a valid check digit, because Google rejects internal barcodes. That way products do not lose their rich results over one invalid field.

Full-catalogue SEO in the market's language

The system writes descriptions, meta data and alt texts for the whole catalogue in the market's language, in overnight batches. Where a well-described reference version of the product exists, it translates the text from that. Facts come only from the data, with no invented warranties or delivery times. Before every batch the system keeps a copy of the old text, and a rerun skips what is already written.
