What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. The browser’s local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way. The law allows a site to store without consent only what it needs in order to work (the EU ePrivacy rules and Article 4a of the Bulgarian Electronic Communications Act). For anything else the site has to ask you first.

What we store

There are three entries. The first one is necessary. The other two are set by Google Analytics and appear only if you allow analytics.

NameProviderPurposeDurationCategory
bsm-consentBS ManagementAn entry in localStorage. Remembers your cookie choice: the settings version, whether analytics is allowed and when you chose.Stays in the browser until you delete it. After 12 months the site asks you again.Necessary
_gaGoogle (Google Analytics 4)Distinguishes separate visitors so they can be counted.2 years according to Google. Chrome keeps a cookie for at most 400 days.Analytics, consent only
_ga_ZHC8TB1WRPGoogle (Google Analytics 4)Keeps the state of the current visit (session).2 years according to Google. Chrome keeps a cookie for at most 400 days.Analytics, consent only

The durations of the Google cookies are taken from Google’s page Cookie usage on websites. We use no advertising or social media cookies. The site has no embedded videos, maps or share buttons that could set cookies of their own.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 shows us how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from. It is switched on only if you press “Accept all” or turn on “Analytics” in the settings. Until then your browser loads nothing from Google and sends nothing to Google.

If you allow analytics, your browser sends Google the address of the page, where you came from, your device and browser type, your approximate location and the identifier from the _ga cookie. Google processes this data on our behalf. According to Google, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses (Safeguarding your data). Google keeps the collected data for as long as our Google Analytics account is set to keep it: 2 months.

Google’s advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are switched off on this site whatever you choose, including “Accept all”.

Google may transfer data to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, Google also relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (Data transfer frameworks). How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How to change or withdraw your consent

At the bottom of every page there is a “Cookie settings” button. It opens the same window you saw on your first visit. Turn off “Analytics” and press “Save my choice”, or simply press “Necessary only”. Withdrawing takes as many steps as giving consent.

The site then deletes the _ga and _ga_ZHC8TB1WRP cookies, reloads the page and stops sending data to Google. Withdrawal applies from that moment on. Data collected before it stays with Google until the period above runs out.

If you keep browsing without choosing, that is not consent and analytics stays off. We ask again after 12 months, or when we change what the site stores.

Browser settings

You can also delete or block cookies in the browser itself: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site. If you delete the bsm-consent entry, the site will ask you again.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the site stores, we will update this page and its date, and the banner will ask you again. How we handle the data from the inquiry form is described in our Privacy policy.
